Journalistic education and the Z generation

Free access

The cognitive and psychological characteristics of Generation Z are considered in the context of the goals of higher education in general and journalism education in particular. Based on these characteristics, adequate models of pedagogical interaction are summarized, and cases of journalism training are presented, both those actually implemented in the practice of media educators and those that are prospective. For the first time, both have been summarized, and, on its part, increased attention to newsworthy events in the process of working with future journalists has been proposed.
