The importance of the achievements of psychology for the public prosecutor in the judicial investigation

In this article, the author examines the psychological determinants that must be adhered to by the prosecutor supporting the state prosecution. Taking into account the legislation, scientific literature and judicial practice, the purpose of the achievements of legal psychology was determined, as well as a list of tactical and psychological techniques necessary for the qualitative maintenance of the accusatory position. The category of false testimony obtained during interrogation in court and the characteristic signs of perjury in practice were considered. In the course of the study, the method of comparative analysis, modeling, and classification was used. As a result of the conducted research, the main psychological qualities and characteristics inherent in the prosecutor who supports the state prosecution in court were identified, and the main techniques using which the prosecutor is able to carry out his functions within the framework of the basic principles of criminal proceedings were identified.
