The article deals with the ideas of the authors, considering the modern tendencies of the preschool education, in particular the educational process through the lens of the pedagogical ideas of K.D. Ushinskiy. The authors appeal to the aims and tasks of the education, mentioned in the legal and regulatory documents, and emphasizes the consideration of these issues by K.D. Ushinskiy.
