The work presents a comparative analysis of different nucleation mechanisms for further development and improvement of the crystallization process. The authors have developed an equation for calculating the duration of induction periods, which satisfactorily describes the process of nucleation in supersaturated water solutions of lactose. The average relative deviation of the calculated data from the experimental data is ± 6,85%.
