Cytological assessment of reparative wound‑healing dynamics in rabbits treated with levomekol ointment

Бесплатный доступ

The study covers cytological and bacteriological examination of dynamics in wound healing in rabbits during standard local therapy with Levomekol ointment. The technique of imprint smears has been used for cellular composition and microflora wound exudate analysis over ten days. The study has revealed a sequential decrease in neutrophilic infiltration, macrophages and fibroblasts recruitment, a decrease in bacterial load and bacillary index. Levomekol ointment has demonstrated its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects, accelerating tissue regeneration. The data make it possible monitor objectively wound healing stages and use imprint smears as an informative healing control technique.
