Distance educational technologies in higher education institutions: experience and issues

The article deals with the issues of the use of the distance educational technologies in the modern higher school of Russia. There are revealed the essence of the concepts “e-learning” and “distance education” and their general specific features. There are analyzed the issues of the active use of the technologies of the distance education in the conditions of the coronavirus pandemic when there is paid special attention to the issues of the pedagogic, psychological, social and cultural character relating to the main subjects of the educational process in higher educational institutions - lecturers and students.
