The development of the lexical competence of the students on the basis of the project method (the experience of the students in the master’s programme of the Institute of Foreign Languages in Volgograd State Socio-Pedagogical University)

The article deals with the development of the lexical competence of the secondary school students based on the project method. The students in the Master’s Programme of the Institute of Foreign Languages in Volgograd State Socio-Pedagogical University create the author’s projects at the classes and realize them during the pedagogical practices at schools. They form the lexical competence of the students, teach them of the intercultural communication and cooperation and develop the language skills and abilities. In the process of the development of the projects the school students implement the potential of their creative abilities and learn the research activities while studying the English language.
