The article deals with the essence of preprofessional readiness of senior school students to the professions of artistic and creative orientation, defined by the means of the revealed components: axiological, epistemological and practice-creative. There is analyzed the implementation of these components through the value-based, cognitive and activity functions. The author reveals three levels of preprofessional readiness: emotional (low), cognitive (middle) and reflexive (high).
