Formation of professional interpreter’s competence in the context of the course “ The basis of interpretation of the russian language” in the slovak university

The article deals with the didactic aspects of teaching the academic discipline “The basis of the interpretation of the Russian language” in the Slovak university. There are considered the characteristics of the professional translation competence in interpretation and the potential of its formation in the educational process. There is paid special attention to the model of the pre-translation exercises used by the author in the process of teaching the interpretation aimed at the development of the translation skill and students’ abilities and the analysis of the efficiency of the suggested exercises in the educational process.
