The professional activity of school teachers, directed to the development of value orientations and competencies of students that are necessary for the efficient cooperation in a multicultural environment, is considered. The basic tendencies of development and integration of multicultural education into the pedagogical activity are described. The implementation of the idea of multicultural education at the level of the content of the training programs and the organization of the pedagogical process is emphasized.
