Работа Жана Франсуа Лиотара «Состояние постмодерна» (1979 г.) является важной теоретической работой того периода, в котором введение представляет собой особую часть, где автор формулирует основную мысль книги. Однако в большинстве случает содержание текста остается малопонятным вследствие сложного языка и стиля автора. Поэтому авторы данной статьи детально рассматривают основные идеи книги, использованные лингвистические методы, дают собственные комментарии для лучшего понимания постмодернистской теории Лиотара.

Interpreting the introduction to the postmodern condition: a report on knowledge by Lyotard
The Postmodern Condition: A Report on Knowledge by Jean Francois Lyotard is the most important and thorough theoretical work on postmodern issues, of which the introduction is an important guide to the understanding of the book as it epitomizes the author’s basic thoughts and outlines the book’s contents. However, the difficulty arises from its concise style and heavy use of technologies which pose an obstacle to an accurate and thorough understanding. Therefore, the article offers a detailed interpretation of the basic ideas, historical events and backgrounds as well as technologies in the introduction as so to reveal the accurate meanings and highlight its far-reaching theoretical significance.
