The article deals with the potential of the polycode texts from the social networks while teaching the Russian language as a foreign language. There is presented the algorithm of the composition of the tests on the basis of the analysis of the text data and with the consideration of the requirements to the development of the skills of reading and oral speech to the B1-B2 levels. There are demonstrated the tests of the different types, the materials for their creation were the post’s texts in the social networks. The authors present the different forms of the work for the development of the communicative competence in the process of teaching the Russian language as a foreign language.
