The category of emotive causatives, which are interpreted as verbs of interpersonal semantics is analyzed in this article. The verbs of this group function in a situation of causation of modification of the emotional state, which we regard as categorical. Its prototypical components are the causator and object of causation, the result of causation, the tool and motive of causation. The result of causation in the situation of emotional modification lies in the meaning of the verb - the emotive causative. In speech, the interaction of categorical situations is observed, as a result of which categorical semantic complexes are realized. The main content of the emotive-causative semantic complex is the actualization of a positive or negative modification of the emotional state of the object of causation. When this complex is actualized, the interaction of intensity, expressiveness and assessment categories is observed, so we note the corresponding subcomplexes: emotive-intensive-causative, emotive-expressive-causative and emotive-estimated-causative categorical semantic subcomplexes.
