The article examines the eschatological historiosophy of A. F. Losev (monk Andronikos) as a unique phenomenon of expressing an authentic Orthodox understanding of history in the forms of secular philosophy. To assess the periods of world history, A. F. Losev uses a strictly Christian criterion — the degree of a person’s life in Christ and the level of personal development in the Christian sense of the word. The peak of world history is the Middle Ages, after which the steady spiritual degradation of mankind begins, leading to the coming of the Antichrist and the Apocalypse. The further history of mankind is the unfolding and shaping of the “Satanic spirit”, the stages of which are capitalism, socialism and anarchism. The inevitable End of history and its catastrophism is the crucifixion of man to God.
