Eschatological motives in V. Pelevin's novels

This article attempts to describe the functions of eschatological motives in V. Pelevin's novels. We consider a stable trend in which the prose writer regularly returns to a similar set of religious and philosophical motives. The article deals with religious and mystical problems of V. Pelevin's novels such as: questions about the world order, the nature of a man and the meaning of his existence. In conclusion, it is concluded that Pelevin uses a set of eschatological motifs as markers that are repeated in different works.
