On the issue of the formation of economic and organizational functions of public administration in the virtual space of Russia

The article covers the pressing issue of the formation of the state interests of the Russian Federation in the virtual space. The authors pay the main attention to the economic and organizational functions of public administration. The economic and organizational functions of the state are divided into three large blocks: organizational, territorial and economic functions. The paper notes that the Russian Federation adopted strategic state programs aimed at creating a digital infrastructure in the country. However, the solution of issues of legislative regulation of economic activity in the virtual space is lagging behind. The country is taking adequate measures to ensure the stable and continuous functioning of a single economic virtual space. This gives reason to conclude that the territorial interests of the country are well protected in a virtual environment. The use of a large amount of statistical information allowed us to conclude that the Russian Federation is above average scale in the implementation of economic functions in the digital space. However, there is a relative lag in Russia regarding the race for the economic development of virtual space.
