This article describes the modern method of Weissenberg effect observation in condensed milk or whipped cream using a simplest laser-based optical setup. The DIY method to be described here involves minimal nomenclature of low-cost or second-hand devices and accessories. We now describe only a general technique for rheometric measurements with this setup, because any variation on the specified example can be provided by the basic principle of the setup construction.
