The comprehension of teacher personality in the context of developing the ideas of integrative and holistic approach is given. The teacher's personality is considered as the tool of pedagogical activity. The methodology of integrity, systematicity and wholeness of teacher’s training, having the personality and consciousness as the tools of pedagogical influence on the other, is revealed. There is analyzed the development of the problem of future teacher’s training in Pedagogy. The significance of students’ metacognition in mastering the wholeness of pedagogical profession is discovered.
