The article deals with the analysis of the concepts “practice of general education” and “best educational practices”, there are given the classifications of the best educational practices and their indicators. There is demonstrated the role of the pedagogical universities in the scientific reflection of the best practices aimed at the further dissemination. The authors present the problematic area of the research studies in the field of the development of the general education practices in the modern conditions. There is emphasized the need in the development of the network model of the scientific cooperation of the pedagogical universities in the sphere of the development of the best general education practices.
