The article is devoted to topical issues of social interaction between the internal affairs bodies (hereinafter referred to as the Department of Internal Affairs) and the mass media (hereinafter referred to as the media), in terms of the study of regulatory mechanisms. Object. Knowledge and formation of an effective mechanism for regulating the social interaction of the police department and the media. Resetarch objectives. As research tasks set to achieve the goal of a scientific article, it is necessary to single out: the knowledge of institutional, social-stratification, socio-cultural, socio-organizational mechanisms for regulating social interactions between the police department and the media.
