The process of foreign language teaching of future economists on the basis of the cognitive and activity approach is considered as the tool of cognitive organization of students and the means of activization of their cognitive sphere. The content of education, the principles and technology of development of critical thinking at the classes of foreign language in university, providing the mastering of the universal strategies of solving the speech-thinking tasks for the future activity, are shown.
