The methodological aspects of studying the educational and scientific text at primary school (linguistic, psychological and pedagogical, methodological) are considered. The specific features of information, linguistic composition, perception and production of the educational and scientific texts by younger schoolchildren are denoted. There is specified their use as the educational unit. The suggested phasing of work to master the educational and scientific texts of different types by younger schoolchildren is described.
