Traditional education and problems in modern Tuvinian families

Бесплатный доступ

The traditional methods of education of the Tuvinians, formed on the basis of empirical experience of nomadic households and the different religious views including buddhism, are considered. The generation of the Tuvinians since the beginning of the 1950s nurtured in boarding schools. To overcome the negative moments of this period (children’s criminality, social orphancy and drug dependability) along with the accepted pedagogical and psychological approaches in the national region it is necessary to take the traditional methods of education in consideration such as the preservation of breed and family, the obedience of grown-up, the respect to knowledge, teachers and doctors, etc.
