Teaching foreign communication in the context of the development of the social and cultural competence of the students of nonlinguistic training program

The article deals with one of the approaches to the development of the social and cultural competence while teaching the oral communication of the students of the nonlinguistic training program. There is described the experience of practicing the acquired knowledge at the example of the speech act of greeting at the sessions in university. The considered approach to teaching the foreign communication by the means of the development of the social and cultural knowledge allows the students to orientate confidently in the foreign linguistic environment.
