Training in the basics of artificial intelligence

The issues of studying artificial intelligence in the content of the school course of informatics are not only subject to trends in the development of the course as a whole, but also have features due, among other things, to the essence of informatics as a science and an academic subject. Artificial intelligence is considered as a branch of science and as an applied area. This article discusses aspects of the inclusion of artificial intelligence for study in the course of computer science in the Russian school. Based on the analysis of the development of artificial intelligence, the main directions of its use in education were identified: the use of artificial intelligence to accompany the educational process and its design, and artificial intelligence as a component of the content of education for the correct positioning of this topic in modern school informatics.
