IN AND. Lenin proposed his theory of the pre-capitalist socialist formation. According to Lenin, the traditional agrarian society with the feudal patriarchal system was the historical predecessor of the pre-capitalist socialist society. The mode of political development of pre-capitalist socialism insisted on combining elements of socialist political civilization, including the cultivation of new socialist citizenship through a democratic culture and a balance of power based on democratic centralism. A self-governing union of the working masses could be a form of the development of socialism in the future.
