The article describes the performance of the opera «Hamlet» by Slonimsky in Samara Opera and Ballet house in 1993. The author has analyzed the intonational and stage dramaturgy of the key scenes of the performance. The features of the tragic and farcical performance staging with the usage of the technique «theater in theatre» are revealed.
