The issues of the primary stage of teaching translation, in particular teaching to fix and memorize as much and complete information as possible for its further transfer, are considered. The necessity to develop the skill of perception and reproduction of information, to broaden and regulate the operating memory of future professional translators, is demonstrated. The importance of studying the specific features of modern generation Z is explained because every generation has its own principles of information perception.
