Peculiarities of psychological and pedagogical training of athletes from 6 to 10 years old in group chess classes

The research paper examines the development of chess sport among children, highlighting the impact of the "Chess in School" program on the development of chess culture. It emphasizes the importance of the teacher's role in shaping the quality results of the lessons, and points out the current problems in the competencies of teachers. The psychological characteristics of children aged 6-10 years are studied and an analysis of approaches to chess teaching in accordance with these characteristics for the preparation of professional athletes is proposed.
