Pedagogical model of organizing a lesson directed to the development of critical thinking in the process of reading a foreign language mass media text

The article deals with the theoretical and practical substantiation of the model of organizing a lesson directed to teaching of foreign language reading on the basis of mediatext in the process of foreign language teaching with the focus on the development of critical thinking in target setting. There is described the methodological basis of foreign language teaching with the use of the techniques of the development of critical thinking. There is presented the experience of the implementation of the developed model in the practice of foreign language teaching at the stages of senior high school - first courses of the university.
