The necessity of teachers’ training who are able to fulfill the functions of mentors and to provide the personal development of students is substantiated. The significance of relational pedagogy in this process is shown. The relational pedagogy as the condition of development of the mentoring position of future teachers is analyzed. The efficient forms of its implementation in the educational process of the pedagogical university are considered.
