The article deals with the problem of the correlation between the updating and detailing of the content of the Exemplary Work Program for the Russian language for the 5-9th forms and the adjustment of the didactic approaches in the teachers of the Russian language training. The object of the empirical study is the process of a philologist’s training in the modern conditions. There is substantiated the scientific position that the system of teaching the Russian language of the school students is the source of the linguistic and methodological training of teachers in the modern linguistic situation
