The analysis of specific peculiarities of teaching Phonetics in the process of teaching the German language is presented. The object of study is the methodological techniques used in the development of phonetic skills. The subject of study is the methodology of Phonetics in the process of teaching the learning discipline “The second foreign language (German)”. The material of study was the way of teaching thi aspect in Sevastopol State University used by authors of the article.
