The specific features of content of teaching Mathematics of schoolchildren aged 12–15 years in Russia and Germany are described. The degree of realization of applied orientation of school Mathematics education in these countries is defined. There is conducted the comparative analysis of applied tasks and the teaching techniques, used in the process of their solving, in Russia and Germany.
