Educational activities of zemstvo doctors

The active role of zemstvo and medical staff in the distribution of literacy and sanitary knowledge among the Russian population at the end of the XIXth century by means of using the different strategies and methods is shown. The books’ distribution with the doctor’s ambulatory is considered as an efficient approach.
