Prototypicality in the context of intercategorial interactions (on the example of the German language)

This article discusses the phenomenon of prototypicality in the context of intercategorial interaction of various functional-semantic categories. The subject of consideration is the semantic categories of taxis, aspectuality, temporality and the subcategory of iteration. Prototypicality in the context of establishing and describing intercategorial relationships between the above categories is associated with the semantic function or semantic dominant of the taxis category and the general categorial elements of these categories, which are temporal prepositions, as well as temporal, aspectual and iterative adverbials and attributes. The intersection of the semantic categories of taxis, temporality and aspectuality specify the actualization of conjugated or polycategorial situations of simultaneity and non-simultaneity in German statements with prepositional deverbatives.
