Psycholinguistic analysis of the process of generation of questional expressions

This article discusses the problem of interrogative sentences as an element of the language system. We consider the process of formation of linguistic ability as a combination of innate and social prerequisites. Interrogative statements during the dialogue can be stimulated both by the internal motives of the communicant and by external ones - by the information contained in the interlocutor’s response, or its insufficiency. The fundamental point in the generation of interrogative statements in the dialogue is the presence of clearly recognized motives for entering into speech interaction. Lack of targeting (lack of long-term goals) is, in our opinion, one of the reasons noted by educators for a decrease in the percentage of initiation questions during children's communication.
