The issue of originating the content characteristics of self-concept of 6–7 years old children (differentiation, reality and validity) is considered. On the basis of the theoretical propositions of the researchers of the school by L.S.Vygotskiy and the personal scientific researches, the origin of these quality indicators of self-concept in the preschool period and the development of the communication forms, corresponding to the age, are connected.
