The psychological and pedagogical conditions for the formation of the humanitarian way of thinking of future engineers in the context of the educational process of higher school

The article deals with the analysis of the current situation of the professional training of the future engineer. There is substantiated the relevance of the study of humanitarian engineering thinking as one of the competencies in the methodology of the cognitive approach. The psychological and pedagogical conditions of the formation of such competence of future civil engineers have been identified as part of the implementation of the humanitarian model of vocational education. The experience of the work with the students of Kalmyk State University, aimed at the creation of the studied conditions in the process of university education, is presented.
