Development of foreign communicative competence of South Ural State University faculty: andragogical approach

The importance of the article is explained by the contradiction between the need of the university faculty in mastering the foreign language communicative competence and the insufficient level of educational support from the foreign language instructors teaching professional communication. The factors that should be taken into account while teaching adults and designing training programs are revealed. The characteristics of the principles of andragogical approach, which is proposed to use as a basis for the selection of learning content, are analyzed. The selection of forms and methods of teaching foreign professional communication is made. The results can be used to develop programs aimed at improving foreign language communicative competence.
