The necessity of solving the ecological problems makes actual the search of the ways of improving the process of mathematical training of future ecologists, one of the directions is the fulfillment of the principle of regionality in teaching mathematics. There is specified the definition of the principle, there is represented the experience of its implementation by the means of the project activities aimed at studying the ecological problems of the region by the means of mathematics.
