Renaissance of mentoring as the phenomenon of the Russian pedagogy

The historical and pedagogical analysis of the establishment and development of the institute of mentoring as the phenomenon of the Russian pedagogy is presented from the perspective of the modern approaches in the pedagogical theory and practice, the stages are completed and characterized. The author suggests to consider the present stage in the development of the studied phenomenon as renaissance and retroinnovation with the increase of the new essences according to the directive of the educational system, aimed at the traditional Russian values.
