While treating limb deformities and shortenings in patients with dyschondroplasia it is very important to determine the reorganization degree of chondromatous foci during gradual distraction both at the level of osteotomy and in the adjacent parts of the bone being lengthened. The roentgenologic dynamics of osteogenesis during femoral lengthening has been studied, and the change in the optical bone density and distribution of structures with mineralization of different degree both at the level of lengthening and in the adjacent parts has also been studied in 13 patients with Oilier disease (17 stages of surgical treatment by transosseous osteosynthesis method). Some peculiarities of distraction regenerate bone formation have been revealed for limb lengthening in patients with dyschondroplasia
