The article contains the theoretical description and results of the study, devoted to identifying the role of the authentic texts in the sociocultural adaptation of the foreign citizens to life in the Russian society. There was made the attempt to confirm the assumption that the advertising texts play one of the key roles in the process of adaptation of foreign citizens to life in the Russian society.
