Social orientation, developed by the means of social activity, is considered as a key component of social health. The empirical research among the students of pedagogical profile demonstrated the significance of the level of social orientation of future teachers for their readiness to develop the social health of students. The importance of solving the task by the pedagogical community is underlined. The qualitative characteristics of social orientation of future teachers, its components and corresponding diagnostic methods are described.
