Sociocultural competence as the goal of teaching a military translator of written translation

The article deals with the description of the sociocultural competence of the military translator in the sphere of the professional communication and the conditions of its development in teaching a written translation based on the interdisciplinary approach. There are considered the components, content and linguistic basis of the competence based on the texts of the military aviation specialty. There is suggested the system of the exercises on the basis of the consideration of the genre and sociocultural peculiarities of the texts.
