Substantial characteristics of aesthetic education in the Russian and Chinese pedagogical science

The article deals with the analysis of the approaches to the comprehension of the holistic approaches, the structure and functions of the aesthetic education in the Russian and Chinese pedagogy. There is demonstrated that the similarity of the views of the scientists of two countries is manifested in the substantiation of the value-based and social nature of the aesthetic education, in revealing its structural components and the contacts between them and in the definition and characteristics of the integrative function of the aesthetic education.
