The article deals with the comparison of the basic approaches to the role of reflection in education. There are analyzed the peculiarities of the use of the technique of the reflexive journal based on the foreign and native many years of experience. The authors present the most widespread difficulties and issues in the process. There are developed and given the recommendations of the prevention and solution of these problems.
