One of the urgent problems in feed production is considered – how to save nutritious value of forages with the help of preserving agents and a set of control devices for feed grain conservation process. A bacterial preparation is offered for wet feed grain making instead of currently used organic acid-based chemical preservatives. The designed metering pump, thermal probe, and sampling unit together with the above bacterial preparation have demonstrated significant economic effect, low-hazard operation for personnel, and lower environmental risks.
