The article deals with the potential of the use of the technology of the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) in the context of the development of the metasubject knowledge at the lessons of the English language, where the language is used as the means of the education. There are described the foundations of the use of the CLIL technology and the further prospects of its usage.
